Webinar | Future of Everything: The future of the global economy

Written by Professor Joe Nellis | 23/05/23 10:16
Rising inflation, the Ukraine conflict, and threats to energy security are just a few of the many global economic issues that have combined to create a very uncertain future; a difficult time for consumers but an exciting time to be an economist.

Many regions of the global economy are expected to face difficult times in the coming years, with 2023 predicted to be the toughest year economically since the late 1970s. As a result, some countries will experience a "growth recession" in 2023 that will last until well into 2024.

Governments worldwide have a long way to go before business and consumer confidence can be restored.

The big question is, how much worse will things get? And crucially, what opportunities and hopes can we look for in the future of the global economy?

Join Professor Joe Nellis, leading economist and Deputy Dean of Cranfield School of Management, as he shares his insight into the global economy, discussing key influential factors and identifying the emerging trends for recovery.
