Professor Michael Bourlakis Director of the Centre for Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Michael specialises in helping organisations to develop their thinking and capabilities around the areas of logistics and supply chain management. He works with organisations to improve operations and management in these related areas, with particular expertise in food, retail and sustainable supply chains, as well as the interface between marketing and supply chain management.
Professor Emel Atkas Professor of Supply Chain Analytics. Emel has B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. She began her career at Istanbul Technical University as a research and teaching assistant. She worked as a visiting researcher at Wayne State University, USA and as a lecturer at Dogus University, Istanbul, Turkey during her PhD studies.
