Webinar | Discovering your strategy for thriving in the new world

By Professor Andrey Pavlov

EPISODE 1: Discovering your strategy for thriving in the new world. A series of six webinars enabling you to reposition, reskill and reshape your organisation, for business success right now, and for future agility.

In the first webinar of six, Professor Andrey Pavlov shared his thinking on how having either a Mechanistic or Complexity Worldview will drive different behaviours that affect the strategies that organisations create, and how those strategies are then translated into action.

Webinar: Discovering your strategy for thriving in the new world

Duration: 1 hour

He shared topics and perspectives that generated great questions and discussion from participants, including 'Skill vs Innate Talent vs Luck', and 'being comfortable with not having a perfect strategy'. It was rewarding to have such a passionate group of webinar participants posing questions, and also sharing their knowledge and views with each other. Determining the skills needed to move through and beyond Covid-19 cannot exist in a vacuum; one needs to consider the strategy required.

About the Series

Organisations have been forced to implement new ways of working in the current pandemic. Employees are having to rapidly adjust and learn new skills. Many organisations are finding their values and culture are becoming prominent in the public eye.

Many organisations are fighting to survive. Others are also grappling with the question “How can we learn from this experience and ensure that we, and our workforce emerge from Covid-19 better placed to respond to the next crisis?

McKinsey & Company wrote an insightful article which contained six pragmatic steps to help organisations address aspects of this question.

This prompted us to create a series of six interconnected one-hour webinars, each one of which resonates with one of the six McKinsey steps, and draws upon our faculty expertise and experience to help you ensure your organisation survives and thrives post-Covid 19.

Featuring expert faculty and partner organisations share their thinking and ideas in interactive sessions designed to support your journey through this pandemic and beyond.
