Strengthen your leadership pipeline

The Business and Strategic Leadership MSc for the Security Sector is an opportunity for you to benefit from the organisational development impact that comes from collaborating with a world-class provider.

Supported by The Security Institute, this programme is for employers within the security sector who want to develop high potential leaders, building the organisation's leadership pipeline and strategic leadership capability.

It is well recognised that Security leaders today must be able to articulate the value security can offer to business. Global and strategic security concerns taught alongside business administration in a Masters level degree is revolutionary. The Institute is delighted to partner with MBA triple accredited Cranfield University to support strategic Security Leaders in their professional development.

Benefits for the participants

The applied nature of the programme enables personalised, specific, sector and organisationally aligned development. Learners will network with a security-focused cohort of participants and will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to:

  • Set strategy, direction and vision.
  • Provide a clear sense of purpose and drive strategic intent.
  • Identify longer-term opportunities and risks.
  • Develop a learning practice to enable sustainable leadership.
  • Deliver as a leader, not just as a manager.

How is it funded?

Apprenticeship Levy Funding

Subject to eligibility, employer organisations can use £18,000 of their Apprenticeship Levy to fund this programme for participants.

Non-Levy Funding

Non-levy paying employers may be eligible to apply for co-investment, paying 5% towards the cost of apprenticeship training - in this case, £900. The government then pays the remaining 95%.

It's been enormously beneficial in terms of how I can manage myself and lead teams. I cannot extol the virtues of the MSc enough in terms of the leadership piece, which is fabulous.
